Why is my face sagging?

Did you catch yourself in the mirror or maybe you looked at a photo and suddenly thought why is my face sagging??

Why do I have deep furrows from the corners of my nose to the corners of my mouth, creases from the corners of my mouth down to my chin and don’t even get me started on the dreaded jowl! When did this happen it seems like my face just headed south overnight?

There is science behind this and the morphology of our faces is a curious thing, there can be a lot of external factors that contribute towards our faces sagging but the biggest factor will normally be genetics, so if you look at your Mum or Dad and see a sagging face the chances are good you will get one too!

Now I am not saying there is anything wrong with this and the ageing of our faces, bodies and minds is something to be grateful for and we are lucky if we get to experience it, but sometimes this can leave us feeling unhappy with our appearance or maybe that the face just doesn’t fit the body or mind.

Panic not there is help to be had! One of the reasons for our faces falling off our faces is the deterioration of our fat pads. As we mature these start to deplete and diminish leaving a substantial lack of volume under our skin, without this volume the skin struggles to stay tight and lifted and this is why everything starts to head south.

Using well placed Dermal Filler you can replicate where the fat pads have started to shrink and give volume and lift back to these areas. This treatment is quick, virtually pain free and very little downtime post treatment. It normally lasts 9-12 months too, so no more standing in the mirror pulling at your face wondering how you can look like you did 10 years ago.

Isn’t it great knowing there is a solution?

Now you can go and turn your upside-down smile back up the right way with all that wonderful lift!
